I have been exploring a couple of new travel blogs that have me so so so excited about further travel, but that have incidentally also pointed to great other musings. Bridges and Balloons comes from two digital nomads that have settled down for months at a time in Argentina, Mexico, Bali and Berlin amongst others (what a dream!), and during that time, Victoria’s husband works as a documentary maker. Cue the discovery that actually makes this relevant for a food policy blog (sort of): his company’s short movie, Overview.

It tells a beautiful story about how seeing Earth from space just completely shifts our mindset about it and reminds us that we are all in this together, hurtling through space on an incredibly vulnerable spaceship that has brought about the right living conditions for us out of pure serendipity. And it reminds us of our responsibility to keep it that way.
I hope you have the time and peace of mind to enjoy this over your cup of tea or morning coffee!
Happy weekend!
P.S. The producers are also working on a feature-length film called Planetary. Watch the trailer here. It’s bound to be good.
