Confession: Facebook is undoubtedly the first tab I open in my browser every time I turn on my computer. It seems we spend half of our life on that site, don’t we? In my defense, my newsfeed has slowly moved from being dominated by lolcatz pictures and Instagrammed lunches to a mix of news, inspiration and of course updates from very cool people 😉 I have found that “liking” pages I am passionate about, be it news, people or organizations, helps me stay up to date on topics that are important to me and also provides a great platform for dialogue on the issues they cover. 1. Michael Pollan – has always great links to topics of current interest and often inspires me to look into a topic further.

2. Food Tank – The Food Think Tank – I highlighted their website in this post, but their Facebook presence is also great!

3. FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN – Great for facts and figures as well as for updates on their newest projects such as the International Year of Family Farming!

4. Food Inc – Is especially great for infographics and inspirational messages.

5. Food Matters – Similar to #4, but more focused on the nutritional/health aspect of food.
