Once again we see the power of marketing done right – this short film is an ad both for Chipotle (known for its dedication to sourcing only “responsibly raised” chicken, beef and pork that were not treated with antibiotics, live in humane conditions, fed a vegetarian diet and are allowed to display their natural tendencies) and for the entire “good food” movement. It also introduces a game where you can “join the scarecrow on his way to better food” to be found on Chipotle’s website. Checking out the website actually made me really impressed with the level of information the company provides on their whole “food with integrity” policy. I’d love to hear American (and other) opinions or experiences with how this is communicated and/or implemented in practice!

It’s not just good food, it’s thoughtful food:
I don’t agree with Chipotle’s new commercial. They, themselves are a large company yet are putting down large, commercial farms that raise the best and safest food supply here in the US. It seems very hypocritical to me and their over dramatization does more harm than good; cows aren’t kept in metal boxes and chickens are not injected with needles to blow them up to outrageous proportions as they depict. I’ve enjoyed Chipotle’s food in the past but I can’t stomach this new marketing campaign so instead, I’m going to support my local Mexican restaurant instead.
