Confession: Facebook is undoubtedly the first tab I open in my browser every time I turn on my computer. It seems we spend half of our life on that site, don’t we? In my defense, my newsfeed has slowly moved from being dominated by lolcatz pictures and Instagrammed lunches to a mix of news, inspiration and of course updates from very cool people 😉 I have found that “liking” pages I am passionate about, be it news, people or organizations, helps me stay up to date on topics that are important to me and also provides a great platform for dialogue on the issues they cover. If the same is the case for you, you might consider “liking” Food (Policy) For Thought on Facebook! The link to the page is below:
Alternatively, you also have the handy widget in the right-hand column to like it at any point in time! All post updates will be published there, as well as other links and images that inspire me, and you will have the option to engage in discussions with like-minded people – hope to see you there!
Bonus: Here are my top five food (policy) related pages I like on Facebook as an individual:
1. Michael Pollan – has always great links to topics of current interest and often inspires me to look into a topic further.
4. Food Inc – Is especially great for infographics and inspirational messages.
5. Food Matters – Similar to #4, but more focused on the nutritional/health aspect of food.
Hope that list will diversify your newsfeed a bit as well! And I can’t wait to chat with you over in the social network as well 😉
