  1. Great article! There are a few other important components of food accessibility that’s missing from the Pollan conversation. We have to think of increased food education (cooking healthy meals, understanding nutrition & food labels etc.), decreasing food deserts in specific neighborhoods, and restructuring what food stamps can buy amongst the bottom 5%-10% of society, in addition to discussing fair living wages to afford healthier food for the economically struggling.

    1. Great points, Nyla! I think especially education is key key key, and can be seen as an upfront societal investment as well if it can stave off the onset of non-communicable diseases that we see now..
